Portraits

Water color Art by Award winning artist Yvonne Wan

Yvonne Wan is one of Arizona’s most prolific artists who gifts legacy portraits to living and fallen heroes (Military, Veterans and Fire fighters). She is the founder of the United Humanities Project Focus comic which maintains dignity for autistic individuals by removing the stigma, provide free child development services for autistic kids and honor heroes through art. The project hosts Heroes and Legends awards ceremonies multiple times a year, where living and fallen heroes are honored with complimentary legacy portraits, challenge coins, State wide recognition (Commendations from Governor Hobbs), photoshoots and special ceremonies. Here is a highlights film of our most recent Heroes event where all branches of the military, multiple government agencies attended the event, the USAF honor guard and dignitaries.

We also gift portraits monthly to fallen heroes, mostly fire fighters who die in the line of duty including occupational cancer. Yvonne delivers the portraits personally to the memorial services / funerals to honor their memory, bring comfort and healing to the family.

Here is a film that Yvonne created, featuring messages of love on film from hundreds of fire fighters, first responders, mayors and dignitaries, for Paul Shupe, a Mesa fire fighter who sadly perished due to occupational cancer. The film shown, is a highlights film (the full version film remains private). The full version of the film was played on loop as he gradually passed away in hospice. The film ensured he knew he was loved by the community, and that he would never be forgotten. Click here to learn more: https://focuscomic.com/honoring-paul-shupe-of-mesa-fire-department/
