We had a successful art workshop last Saturday, where autistic kids and their family members painted/glazed their family clay hand print plaques. The family project enabled kids to gain a strong sense of self, identity, kinship and family. They also had the opportunity to make new friends similar to them, and spend time with their family members working on a fun family project together.
Students also took the opportunity to complete other projects that they had previously started.
Yvonne also provided some of the students some professional photography lessons in class to, so they can learn how to use the photo booth and show case their art online.
