Focus Comic Art Summer Camp. Free for autistic kids and young adults – Week 7

We are 7 weeks into our Focus comic free summer camp for kids and young adults with autism. This week, we created some family hand print plaques. The class is designed to help kids gain a strong sense of self, identity, and kinship through this family hand print ceremony. Yvonne (The creator of Focus comic) filmed and photographed the hand print ceremonies for the families to cherish the childhood memories in the years to come.

A few of our students had a head start with the glazing process this week. The rest of the students will either glaze or paint their fired pieces next Saturday at 1pm. We can’t wait to see them finished.

Here are a few hand print ceremony films that Yvonne made:

We are also pleased to show you Jett’s completed super hero mask now that we have fired it in the kiln and it looks shiney!

Here is Blaze’s super hero mask now it has been fired in the kiln:

We are proud supporters of the arts.
